Everything else needs to be scavenged from the environment, and it's a good idea to pick up every stray bullet and healing item you come across. Kleptomaniac Hero: You start off the demo with nothing but a note and a single healing syringe.The developers have stated that this was just because the hand animations weren't finished yet. Invisible Anatomy: In the demo, your character's hands are never seen when holding weapons, and objects you pick up just levitate in front of the camera.Immersive Sim: In the demo you can pick up and throw things, smash open windows, climb onto ledges, and the level in the demo is fairly open-ended with multiple routes to your objectives and multiple ways of getting through those routes.Crescent also allows you to save anywhere using a music box, while every higher difficulty requires the player to find a phonograph, and Blood Moon disables the visible vision cones that the huntsmen normally have on lower difficulties. Higher difficulties have fewer resources, a greater number of enemies, and more enemy damage, as well as sometimes changing enemy locations and patrols so they're harder to sneak around.

With wretched breath comes the vile Corpse Duster You can find a note in the demo that explains this is because the guns they've been equipped with are terrible and break easily, meaning that many of them have to resort to using their woodcutting axes just so they have some kind of weapon. An Ax To Grind: Several of the huntsmen in the demo wield axes.Ambiguously Human: The huntsmen in the demo are humanoid and seem to act like humans judging by the notes written by them, but we only see them when they're covered head-to-toe in clothing, they have Vader Breath and Glowing Eyes of Doom, and they make inhuman roaring noises when alerted.Aluminum Christmas Trees: Despite looking like a work of fiction, the game's folding shotgun is actually based on a real weapon, although touting a regular pump-action mechanism instead of the rear grip and trigger being the pump handle.Alien Blood: The crowbeggars bleed dark green fluid when shot or stabbed.Air-Vent Passageway: As is fairly common for stealth games, the demo level features vents that can be crawled through in order to get around guards.Gloomwood contains examples of the following tropes:
